This week we’ve enjoyed meeting the farmers, food enthusiasts and wonderful people of Schuylkill county who have stopped by our food booth at the fair.
We are serving up loaded baked potatoes made with Schuylkill county grown Sterman Masser potatoes.
Our fair booth neighbors, the beekeepers, helped inspire a new creation we are offering: the dessert potato. Baked to perfection, then topped with butter, cinnamon and local honey, this potato is something to taste!
The best part of this week has been watching our members - especially our Juniors and Youth - taking pride and ownership in the process of preparing, making and selling the items to raise money for all the good work we are doing around our communities. When you meet them, you’re sure to realize the future is bright.
