Apply for membership

As a fraternal organization, our process for membership of those age 14 and older includes an application step. The application, along with the application fee, may be submitted online, in person or by mail. Once your application has been approved, you will be invited to officially join Jefferson Grange, pay dues and have access to all benefits of membership.
Junior applicants are automatically accepted and may submit annual dues with application. Applications from adult (14+) or business candidates will be reviewed at the next regular meeting of the Grange. Once approved, individuals/businesses can pay the membership fee and be welcomed as new members.
Fraternal members
The backbone of the Grange in each of its chapters, fraternal members meet, vote on projects and programs, and work to meet the needs of their neighbors and communities. In return for their efforts, these members are offered a variety of benefits, access to various programs, contests and events. Members also enjoy fellowship, gain invaluable skills and much more. Members 14* and older local Grangers, while children 5 to 14 are Junior Grange members with their own meetings, service projects, age-specific programs and more.
Junior: $1 one-time application fee
(Junior members are defined by PA State Grange as children age 5 to 13 within the calendar year of start of application/payment; all applicants are accepted)
Youth: $5 one-time application fee
(Youth is defined by PA State Grange as a dependent age 14 to 22 as of within the calendar year of start of application/payment; applications are voted upon at the next regular meeting of the Grange)
Individuals: $7.50 one-time application fee
(Individuals are defined by PA State Grange as 23 years or older or independent non-student or military service members 19-years or older; applications are voted upon at the next regular meeting of the Grange)
Families: $12.50 one-time application fee
(Families are defined by PA State Grange as one or more adults and their dependents under age 23 of the same household; application as a whole for all members included on form is voted on a the next regular meeting of the Grange)

*Individuals can join the local Grange at 13 1/2 years old.
Associate members
Either individuals or businesses, associate members are strictly supportive of the activities of the Grange and the services it provides. Their support is a key resource that allows fraternal members to continue our good work and shows the community how invested they are in local philanthropic efforts.
Associate members have access to all member benefits as a way to thank them for their support. While always welcome, they are not expected to attend local Grange meetings and do not have a vote on Grange matters.
Individuals or Businesses: $20 one-time application fee
(Associate member applications are voted upon at the next regular meeting of the Grange)
Junior
For children age 5-13.
Automatic acceptance (no wait). You may pay application fee and dues immediately.

Two or more individuals in a household. Dependent Youth up to age 23 may be covered by a family membership.

You must pay your application fee before being considered a candidate for membership. Please do not pay membership dues or make payment arrangements until your application is approved. If your application is not accepted, your fee will be returned less any processing fees for online payments.
Want to apply in person instead?
If you prefer to print an application and bring it to our next meeting or mail it to our Secretary, you are welcome to do so. Make sure to include a check payable to Jefferson Grange #1384 with your application fee or bring it in cash (and receive a receipt) at our meeting.
