Softball and baseball are returning for the first time since 2008 to the Olympics. This year baseball plays July 28-Aug. 7 and softball play runs from July 21-27.
In honor of the Olympics, Personal Development and Family Activities Director Will Bildheiser suggested Friday, June 4, at the Jefferson Grange meeting that members hold a local softball tournament fundraiser to benefit Special Olympics. The two softball fields at the Schuylkill Haven Island were secured for October 2.
